FACILITY MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Position Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Facilities Supervisor to lead and oversee facility maintenance operations and technical staff for an 85-building portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager this role is responsible for managing HVAC mechanical electrical and plumbing systems as well as general building troubleshooting and repairs. The Facilities Supervisor ensures facility excellence client satisfaction and compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service exceptional technical expertise and hands-on leadership. Key responsibilities include conducting building inspections executing preventive maintenance activities and managing subcontracted services. Success in this role requires the ability to quickly learn and adapt to client sites and building systems anticipate customer needs and respond professionally. The Facilities Supervisor should be a self-starter reliable flexible and able to make informed decisions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

Required Experience:

  • 58 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities maintenance and repair in a multi-story multi-building corporate environment
  • Experience supervising technical staff
  • Proven experience with facility systems such as HVAC electrical plumbing BAS fire/life safety and building infrastructure

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for planned predictive and corrective maintenance
  • Familiarity with MS Office and current technology
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings plans and specifications
  • Contract negotiation and vendor management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of safety management principles and regulatory compliance (OSHA ADA building codes)

Major Job Functions/Qualifications:

  • Supervise schedule and evaluate facilities technician staff
  • Develop and implement maintenance goals policies and procedures
  • Maintain and execute preventive maintenance programs
  • Oversee maintenance of HVAC chilled water systems cooling towers compressors and electrical distribution systems
  • Manage inventory and procurement of supplies equipment and services
  • Train staff on maintenance procedures safety protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate minor construction and special projects
  • Foster strong client relationships with a focus on responsiveness and problem-solving
  • Maintain CMMS systems and generate reports on KPIs SLAs and maintenance activities
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for a minimum of 8 hours per day
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
  • Ability to operate hand/power tools and equipment
  • Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions
  • Maintain company standards for background checks (criminal record driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)

Schedule:
Full-time; must be flexible and willing to work nights some weekends and overtime as needed. On-call status required for emergencies.

Salary:
Based on experience plus benefits.
