Job Summary
- Operate polishing lathe machines on brass or other metal substrates
- Correct surface defects smooth surfaces and polish or buff to desired finish
- Set up and operate polishing equipment.
- Apply polishing compound to buffing wheel
- Buff parts to achieve smooth or mirror-like finishes.
- Record daily production on production sheets.
- Expectations:
- Meet productivity goals.
- Meet quality goals.
- Understanding manufacturing capabilities processes and procedures
- Must manage and complete multi-functional tasks quickly.
- Must be willing to work in a fast paced intense environment with the ability to complete assignments.
- Must be willing to wear a respirator mask.
- Availability to work overtime to meet deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The employee frequently is required to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- The employee frequently will apply pressure to the air way buff.
