Join the laboratory of Dr Alexander Ludwig at the School of Biological Sciences. We are seeking a Research Fellow to contribute to a project focused on the organisation and regulation of the actin cytoskeleton at apical cell junctions in epithelial cells and its role in the control of the paracellular permeability barrier.
Key Responsibilities
Independently design conduct analyse and critically interpret experiments at a high scientific standard.
Present and discuss data in weekly group meetings and at local and international conferences.
Provide guidance and supervision to PhD and undergraduate students fostering their growth and development within the laboratory setting.
Preparing detailed reports and manuscripts for publication in esteemed scientific journals.
Job Requirements
PhD degree in Molecular Cell Biology Biochemistry or related areas with focus on epithelial cell-cell junctions the actin cytoskeleton biochemistry and biophysics and imaging.
Experience in epithelial cell cultures protein expression and purification protein-protein interaction analysis (IPs pulldowns ITC) and confocal and electron microscopy
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English- essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
