Our department

The department Module Deployment Group Workcells & Robotics is responsible for the worldwide deployment of Workcells and Robotic modules within projects. This multidisciplinary (mechanical electromechanical and controls) department participates in the agile way of working of Technology supports Sales helps and participates during execution of (pilot) projects defines efficient & effective way of working around the new modules by providing tooling and training for the rest of the organization. Finally it is also responsible for the feedback loop towards Technology to improve the modules.

Working under the supervision of a Project Leader the Senior Electrical Project Engineer is part of a multidisciplinary team of Engineers.

Your position

As Senior Electrical Project Engineer you have a key role in the total electrical design; from power distribution right up to preparing the bill of materials for all the required electrical components and ensure that your Supply Chain colleagues can deliver on time as customer requirements. An important aspect of your work will be producing the Control Architecture diagrams using advanced network technologies such as Industrial Ethernet and AS-I bus. You will provide the design and drawing sets for the manufacturing of the electrical enclosures and the total cabling specification from materials right through to the installation drawings and assembly instructions for the installer. It will be your task to make the detailed design and to explain it to the installer and support the installation and commissioning activities (either remote or on-site). Your checklists are used for complete installation from connection to testing of the last I/O. To make your work even more challenging with the maximum possible technology depth we use all the functionality of our CAD systems (AutoCAD and EPLAN). We also develop tooling to enable optimal execution of the engineering works.

Your core tasks

• Be the (electrical) design authority of key element of the Workcells & Robotics modules within projects

• Managing and executing electrical projects from start to finish.

• Collaborate with Technology Engineering teams and other professionals to design implement and improve and optimize towards standardized (robotic) work cells.

• Ensuring that all projects are completed on time within budget and according to the required standards

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Workcells & Robotic systems as they arise

• Conducting research and staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments

• Providing technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders

• Preparing and presenting reports proposals and project plans to stakeholders

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations codes and standards

Your profile

• A vocational education (MTS/MBO-4) in Electrical Engineering with relevant work experience

• Or a Bachelor (HTS/HBO) degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Knowledge of the design installation diagnostics and troubleshooting of networks such as PROFIBUS Profinet Asi bus and Industrial Ethernet.

• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices (electrical standards such IEC UL etc.) related to industrial automation

• Knowledge of power distribution systems power / control system cabinets Field equipment (sensors and actuators) switchgear and its characteristics for designing electrical system

• Familiarity with design safety. Able to perform health safety and risk analysis (HSRA) on component.

• Familiarity with CAD tools such as Eplan and AutoCAD

• Delivering feedback and best practice to improve our products processes and tooling.

• Proactive flexible pragmatic and hands on attitude

• Wiling to go extra miles to develop Electrical Engineering competency in & outside the department.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Communicating with regular progress reports managing deadlines and milestones

• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary diverse and global team environment

• Good (verbally and in writing) command of the English language Dutch is preferred.

• Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 5%

This position offers a competitive salary range of 4180 to 5673 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
