As an Associate Development Officer you will be part of a fun supportive and inclusive team collaborating with other advancement staff to build relationships develop and implement fundraising strategies to expand support for Minnesotans supported by LSS.
In this role you will:
build and maintain a portfolio of approximately 250-300 mid-level donors ($250-$500) and prospects with a majority of donors living in Minnesota with the goal to grow them to $1000 donors
connect with community members via phone in person and virtual visits personalized mass mailings writing cards and email communication
work with staff to host small donor engagement events
engage congregation members and volunteers to become donors
build authentic relationships with donors and center our work around the community we serve
work with a team committed to a fun and positive work culture
receive on the job training no experience necessary

Qualifications and Requirements:
- No previous fundraising experience necessary.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Effective communication and listening skills.
- Strong planning and strategic thinking skills.
- Interested in building relationships in the community.
- Ability to assess situations quickly and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Proven familiarity with local and surrounding community resources.
- Drivers license required.
