Responsibilities

The Impact Youll Make

As a Litigation Paralegal supporting our attorneys and senior paralegals youll be on the front lines of healthcare litigation and risk management. This isnt just a records job; its a critical role where youll ensure our legal operations are seamless compliant and supportive of our core mission.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Mastering the Litigation Lifecycle: Assisting with all stages of litigation from pre-suit investigations to complex discovery matters.
  • Critical Coordination: Serving as the essential link between our legal team external counsel and crucial internal departments (Risk Management Compliance HR) to ensure effective case management.
  • Information Governance: Efficiently managing medical records requests for company facilities and responding to inquiries from outside agencies.
  • Risk Oversight: Playing a key role in maintaining the Risk Management scorecard and assisting with other corporate legal matters like contracts and insurance renewals.
  • Embracing Growth: Flexibly expanding your responsibilities as our company continues to grow.

Qualifications

What Youll Bring to Our Team

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced legal professional who can hit the ground running:

  • Experience & Education: A Bachelors Degree and/or Paralegal certificate combined with 4 years of relevant experience in a legal environment. Experience in a healthcare company or the healthcare section of a law firm is strongly preferred.
  • Legal Acumen: Demonstrated strong litigation document review and proofreading abilities.
  • Independence & Collaboration: The ability to work both independently on moderately complex legal projects and collaboratively within a team.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Organizational Prowess: Excellent time management and record-keeping skills are a must.
