We are looking for aneditorial administrator to provide administrative and logistical support to a team of editors reporters and writers on the Sports desk. You will work alongside an Editorial manager and together you will act as the go-to team for your editorial colleagues.

About the role

  • Act as point of contact for staff casual workers sport contributors and agencies resolving ad hoc queries
  • Request accreditation for sporting events as directed by commissioning editors or the editorial manager ensuring these are requested before deadlines. Liaise with organisations/clubs where necessary to resolve any issues. Maintain accreditation spreadsheets.
  • Plan ahead and book hotels and travel for all team members in advance and in line with budget manage the bookings and any changes to these
  • Organise visas and foreign currency requests
  • Process contributor payments expenses and general departmental invoices
  • Input casual worker shifts into the casual workers rota to enable payment
  • Process weekly sickness and absence returns
  • Maintain the sports illustration rota booking shifts and managing cancellations
  • Enjoy being the go-to person for your team

About you

  • Proven relevant administration experience ideally in supporting teams
  • Previous experience of fast-paced deadline-driven environment
  • Experience of coordinating complicated travel itineraries would be an advantage
  • Experience of processing invoices or making payments including being comfortable with multiple currencies
  • Interested in a wide range of sports
  • Ideally youll have a demonstrable ability to bring a diverse perspective to this role
