Complete Description:

The Client Technology Division is looking for a part-time App. Technical Specialist (Entry) to provide weekend IT support services on the 911/311 operations call floor. This resource will be responsible for assisting / leading special projects as requested by the client. The resource will be responsible for project oversight application management cost analysis and overall system addition the resource will be required to support the system or network (LAN / WAN etc.) as well as monitor applications for availability and performance as needed.

The resource will be required to work / train during the week for the first few weeks on the job. Once the resource is fully trained the resource will be scheduled to work 10-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday.

CONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities:

Demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty.

Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services/products. This is a professional position which may require subject matter expertise consistent with demanding and rare technological skills.

May require coordination of programming activities being conducted by the application development team.

Confers with other business and technical personnel to resolve problems of intent inaccuracy or feasibility of computer processing and project design.

Works with necessary personnel to determine if modifications are necessary with interested personnel to determine necessity for modifications or enhancements.

Leverages excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop new business process and programming solutions as directed by business and technical stakeholders.

May coordinate activities of application implementation and upgrades.

Able to identify best practices and standards for the use of a product.

Proven track record of hands-on technical design and implementation work within large complex systems.

Proven hands-on technical work with a variety of technologies.

Demonstrated technical expertise integrating a variety of diverse technical environments and cross-platform technologies.

Delivers support for industry specific applications that require integration with statewide systems or applications.

Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts.

Advanced experience in the required technical subject matter.

May function as a niche technical SME (Subject Matter Expert).

Has proven experience across large and complex implementations and systems.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelors degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience

Experience diagnosing and repairing peripheral equipment as needed. Required 5 Years

Experience tracking and escalating open technical issues in a public safety IT environment. Required 5 Years

Experience providing technical assistance improving program designs and operations. Required 5 Years

Experience supporting application functionality and access. Required 5 Years

Experience providing determination between network hardware and software issues. Required 5 Years

Experience in desktop imaging deployment packaging and break/fix services. Required 5 Years

Experience in analysis and documentation of preventative maintenance and technical processes. Required 5 Years

Experience in technical writing including but not limited to drafting standard operating procedure documents. Required 5 Years

Experience in process improvement. Required 5 Years

Experience providing IT Support in a public safety environment. Nice to have 2 Years

Compensation: $57.00 - $63.00 per hour
