Senior Software Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team working on innovative software products for the Food the role of a Senior Software Engineer you will have a key role in the development of our software that supports JBT Marels vision of transforming the way food is processed globally.
What youll be doing
As a Senior Software Engineer you will lead the design and implementation of software modules that support JBT-Marels vision. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including machine engineering and software platform development teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions for industrial food processing machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design implementation and testing of software modules and features.
- Analyze requirements and write design specifications for software modules and software features
- Deliver production-ready code consistently.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team collaboration.
- Collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure system architecture is implemented and tested.
- Occasionally support product releases and training on customer sites.
- Train and mentor Software Engineers and Associate Software Engineers
- Contribute to team collaboration and build team spirit

- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or similar or comparable work experience and knowledge
- Background in industrial automation or machine control.
- Understanding of reliability requirements in the food industry.
- Experience and Docker.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and familiarity with PLCs.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Git.
- Experience in designing developing and implementing large software solutions with object-oriented programming languages in combination software development.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and good understanding of database operations
- Familiar with Agile software development frameworks and database operations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers stakeholders and customers.
- Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural multi-discipline organization is an advantage.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
