Job Requirements:
In this roleMATRIXis seeking an experienced Camp Kitchen Attendant for ourMLA Camplocated in the Kitikmeot Region Nunavut. You are team oriented motivated and have have a high attention for details accuracy and can prioritize tasks. You will play a key role at one of our remote camps by performing all primary responsibilities in a timely manner independently. This position reports to the Executive Chef. Start date for this position is between November - December 2025.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job procedures.
- First cook of unsafe practices and unsafe environment.
- Report all incidents and accidents immediately.
- Practice good housekeeping in the work area at all times.
- Participate in daily Toolbox meetings.
- Perform dish washing as per Food Safety Plan.
- Perform cleaning and sanitization of all surfaces equipment and smallwares as per the camps Food Safety Plan and Covid protocols.
- Make sandwiches daily as per directed menu plans ensuring quality and freshness at all times.
- Support food safe storage and labeling of potential food allergy items.
- Ensure food storage areas are organized.
- Participate in daily Toolbox meetings.
- Wash and replace bed linens as required.
- Clean and sanitize Dry Area
- Clean common spaces at work site TV room dining room laundry room
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years working in a remote camp as a Camp/Kitchen Attendant
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills.
- Highly motivated team-oriented individual with attention to detail.
- Ability to work a rotational schedule.
- Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Able to lift and move heavy objects walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor.
- Able to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 12 hour shift.

Day rate $295 based on 12 hour shifts
This position is working on a rotational 3 Weeks in 3 Weeks out schedule (Fully Remote).
