About Us
Monash Abroad is responsible for the implementation of the international student mobility components of the strategic plan. The unit supports the provision of outbound international experiences for Monash students during their undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees together with inbound non-award mobility through exchange and study abroad arrangements.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced International Education Coordinator to join the dynamic team at Monash Abroad. This role will be responsible for providing specialist advice to Monash students on accessing Monash Abroads global programs while also contributing to the marketing and promotion of these activities and other global initiatives supported by Monash Abroad and the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (International). This incumbent will implement and coordinate a program of complex administrative processes and systems including scheduling and coordinating student exchanges along with the delivery of streamlined and user-friendly application enrolment and orientation processes.
This role will respond to trends in the international higher education market to ensure a consistent pool of applications are being processed along with assisting in the recruitment of outgoing Monash students to the exchange study abroad and other programs within the University.
As the International Education Coordinator some of your key duties will include but not be limited to:
Maintain Monash Abroad records including databases and financial records for grants loans stipends and invoices accurately and produce reports as required
Advise students on program options providing high-quality guidance and support throughout the application and participation process.
Nurture relationships with a network of international exchange and study abroad partners relevant staff in Monash faculties government support agencies and professional associations to build and diversify international education opportunities for Monash students
About YOU!
To be successfully considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate excellent administration and organisation skills the capacity to develop and implement effective operational processes and set priorities and time management. This would also include highly developed computer literacy including experience using business software such as Microsoft Office 9.0. You could also have prior experience living studying or travelling overseas.
