Education:
*Advanced degree in a relevant field (such as healthcare administration public health or business) required; a masters degree is preferred

Experience:
*At least 10 years of progressive leadership or management experience in healthcare including board and budget management. Executive leadership experience preferred.
*Experience serving as an advisor to and liaison between executive leadership board members staff and cross-sector partners.
*Experience with tools for strategic planning project management and continuous improvement.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*Deep understanding of healthcare delivery public policy strategic communications and financing.
*Demonstrated leadership skills including success guiding cross-functional teams and cross-sector partnerships.
*Strategic thinking adaptability and proven success in planning implementing and monitoring major strategic initiatives and organizational change.
*Exceptional judgment creativity and interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a highly complex environment.
*Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

Department Overview

The Administration Department is responsible for these key activities: representation of administration on the St. Paul and Minneapolis Campuses policy and procedure clearinghouse business development child advocacy and child policy and community health and preventive medicine.


Position Summary

The Chief of Staff reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and serves as the principal strategic advisor to ensure organizational success within a complex operational environment. This role also leads the organizations strategy and planning function optimizing engagement between the CEO Executive Leadership Team and internal/external stakeholders including the Boards of Directors philanthropic entities and public and private sector partners.

The position requires advanced competencies in health care strategy leadership strategic communication and problem resolution to ensure operational efficacy organizational sustainability and strategic growth of Childrens Minnesota. It requires cultivating relationships enterprise-wide and across sectors to influence decision-making processes and organizational outcomes.
