Job Title: Part-Time Estimator (Sales-Focused)

Location: TruBlue of Morristown and Montclair NJ
Type: Part-Time (1525 hrs/week to start with growth potential)
Reports To: Owner / General Manager

About the Role

TruBlue of Morristown and Montclair is looking for a part-time Estimator who can confidently represent our brand from the very first handshake. This role combines sales estimating and light project management making it ideal for someone who knows home repairs connects easily with clients and can keep jobs running smoothly behind the scenes.

Youll be the first face many of our clients meet so were looking for someone professional personable and knowledgeable someone who can earn trust quickly and turn estimates into approved completed work.

TruBlue Home Service Ally provides a unique and affordable approach to helping busy adults and seniors live a worry-free life by offering trustworthy handyman home maintenance and senior modification services. Helping you maintain your home both inside and out TruBlues services include: handyman projects and to-do list chores preventative home maintenance programs seasonal work and senior modification services all handled by a professional bonded and insured Tru-Pro Technician.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Estimating

Be the first point of contact for on-site assessments
Create clear accurate estimates using company software
Explain scope pricing and options to homeowners
Follow up to convert estimates into scheduled jobs

Project and Materials Coordination

Create quotes/material order lists with all vendors such as Home Depot Lowes and others
Ensure job scope and timing is clearly communicated to the field team
Track job status and support customer satisfaction

Requirements

3 years of experience in estimating contracting or home repair services
Local to Northern NJ (Essex Morris or nearby counties)
Own vehicle and valid drivers license
Comfortable with digital estimating tools spreadsheets and mobile apps
Professional appearance and strong communication skills
Must be able to pass a background check

Compensation

Hourly pay based on experience
Commission on completed and collected jobs
Auto expense reimbursement
Flexible daytime hours
Opportunity to grow into a larger operational or sales leadership role

Requirements:

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Standard tools of the trade
Fluent in English
U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization
Must pass a background check

Compensation: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
