Lead QA Coordinator, App

Robloxs vision is to connect billions of people through shared immersive experiences. The Roblox App is the gateway running on iOS Android Windows macOS Xbox and soon additional platforms enabling users to explore worlds chat purchase and create safely. With millions of concurrent players the App must deliver high performance stability and trustworthiness across devices. Were looking for an App QA Lead whos passionate about delivering flawless cross-platform client experiences at scale.

As the App QA Lead youll own the end-to-end quality strategy for Robloxs consumer app. Youll lead QA efforts for new features performance usability and integration with core systems such as Identity Safety Payments and Social. Youll build automation define release gates manage regressions and partner closely with engineers and PMs to ensure every update is safe stable and lead a small team of QA engineers while collaborating across multiple groups Product App Engineering Safety and Platform Infra to build confidence in every release.

You will:

• Lead Quality Strategy for Robloxs App across platforms (iOS Android Windows macOS Xbox and web client integrations).
• Own release readiness define quality gates regression cycles and sign-off criteria for app releases and hotfixes.
• Collaborate with Engineering & Product to design testable features and proactively identify risk areas.
• Build and maintain automation using Robloxs test frameworks (e.g. TestEZ Luau or Python-based test harnesses for UI and API layers).
• Integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitHub Actions or internal frameworks).
• Drive performance and reliability testing for client-side memory frame rate network latency and crash resilience.
• Coordinate with Safety and Trust Engineering to validate user safety features (chat moderation parental controls session handling and identity workflows).
• Mentor and manage QA engineers guiding test planning prioritization and issue triage.
• Analyze telemetry and crash data (Grafana Splunk DataDog or Roblox internal dashboards) to detect regressions before users do.

You have:

• 6 years of experience in software Quality Assurance with at least 2 years leading or mentoring QA teams.
• Proven experience testing mobile and cross-platform consumer apps (iOS Android desktop console).
• Expertise in test automationbuilding and maintaining frameworks like Playwright Appium XCUITest Espresso or equivalent Lua/Python-based test harnesses.
• Deep understanding of client/server testing API validation and complex end-to-end user workflows.
• Strong skills in defect analysis risk management root-cause investigation and integrating tests with CI/CD systems.
• Experience with real-time networked or gaming apps and a strong passion for user experience and performance.
