Through our subsidiaries TP Vision and MMD we also design produce and sell Philips-branded monitors TVs and sound products under a brand license agreement with Philips.

Your Role

As Legal Counsel youll play a pivotal role in shaping TPVs legal strategy across Europe. Youll act as a trusted advisor to management and business teams balancing risk management with enabling commercial growth.

This position offers a wide scope from drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements to advising on corporate governance GDPR and the evolving EU AI Act. Youll work closely with senior stakeholders and external counsel to ensure TPVs operations remain compliant forward-looking and strategically aligned with business objectives.

Its an excellent opportunity for a mid-senior lawyer who enjoys variety autonomy and direct impact someone who prefers to be close to the business rather than behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to business units across Europe.
• Draft review negotiate and manage a variety of commercial agreements including distribution purchasing sales R&D marketing IT software licensing and financing contracts.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and the EU AI Act.
• Manage relationships with external legal advisors.
• Handle legal disputes and settlements.
• Monitor legal trends and ensure business activities remain compliant.
• Advise management on company law corporate governance legal strategy and statutory requirements.
• Support corporate restructuring M&A and other strategic initiatives.

Your Profile

• University degree in Law.
• 58 years of legal experience including time at a law firm and in-house counsel roles within international business environments.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch law (Dutch Civil Code and relevant EU legislation).
• Broad legal expertise especially in commercial contracts sales & distribution consumer rights and software/apps.
• Experience with GDPR and AI compliance.
• Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is preferred.
• Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced multicultural environment.
