About the Position
We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join busy Housekeeping team in Dublin. This role will be key to ensuring that our quality and service standards continue to make a difference in our guests experience.
About the Person
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a very busy 4/5* luxury hotel.
You must be legally permitted to work 40 hours a week in Ireland
PRINCIPLEACCOUNTABILITIES
- Topromote a helpful and professional image to the client and give thefull co-operation to any customer requiring assistance with aprompt caring and helpful attitude.
- Totrain employees to the standards of the hotel.
- Tostrive to anticipate client needs whenever possible to enhancequality service and in turn enhance client satisfaction.
- Togive full co-operation to any colleague requiring assistance in aprompt caring helpful manner and to be flexible in assistingaround the hotel in response to business and client.
- Toassist management in maintaining regular and effective communicationwithin the team and attend hotel meetings when required.
- Toassist in creating an environment which promotes staff morale andencourages employees to have a pride in the area and their skillsensuring maximum efficiency.
- Toaddress development needs identified from appraisal with managementand to maximise use of areas of strength. To assist management inappraising staff using the guidelines provided.
- Topositively promote sales awareness within the standards set underthe direction of management.
- Toassist in control of operating costs within the hotel.
- Toidentify and report any hazards or maintenance requirements in thework place to management.
- Tocomply with statutory and legal requirements for fires health andsafety licensing and employment and to ensure employee are alsoaware of these requirements and working in accordance to them.
- Toassist in the smooth running of the department while on shift.
- Toreport all issues to the Accommodation Manager in orderthat relevant action can be taken.
- Toensure that staff have adequate supply of working tools and utensilsto carry out their jobs to meet and exceed all standards.
- Toensure all guest rooms are serviced to the required hotel standard.
- Tocheck room after cleaning to ensure the bove
- Tomove furniture/appliances where needed to assist meeting therequired standard.
- Toretrain staff if there are gaps in their standard of cleaning
- Toensure lost property is processed as per hotel procedure.
- Tocarry out monthly stock takes
- Torelocate stock when required.
- Tocomplete employee rotas and timesheets.
- Tomaintain hotel plants and floral arrangements where required.
- Toorder and maintain hotel linen stocks
- Toorganise staff daily duties and lists.
- Tocarry out any reasonable request by senior management
- To train staff in all aspects of their tole to the excellent standards expected in the hotel
- Salary: 34320 per annum
- Meals on duty
- Bespoke uniforms
- Discounted accommodation rates at many of our international hotels.
