A forward-looking Leicester primary is seeking an experienced and creative Year 4 Teacher to join KS2 on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 4 Teacher will be part of pre-term planning prior to January 2026 will attend induction in January 2026 and will teach from January 2026 as the Year 4 Teacher. This Full-Time Year 4 Teacher role provides opportunities to lead curriculum projects develop assessment practice and mentor colleagues starting from January 2026.

Year 4 Teacher Responsibilities
Plan and deliver coherent mathematics and English sequences as the Year 4 Teacher embedding retrieval practice and vocabulary development.
Lead foundation subject enquiries and enrichment as the Year 4 Teacher coordinating trips and producing cross-curricular work.
Use assessment to tailor learning and run targeted interventions as the Year 4 Teacher presenting outcomes in reviews after January 2026. The Year 4 Teacher will prepare resources prior to January 2026 and teach from January 2026 as the Year 4 Teacher.
Curriculum innovation & development for the Year 4 Teacher
The appointed Year 4 Teacher will be encouraged to trial evidence-informed approaches and present findings at phase meetings. The Year 4 Teacher will be given CPD time from induction in January 2026 and a protected planning slot to develop subject expertise. We require a Year 4 Teacher with QTS strong KS2 impact and a collaborative outlook available to start planning before January 2026 and to teach from January 2026.
