Job Summary
FairJourney Biologics is a world leading CRO on antibody discovery engineering characterization and production. It provides services to Big Pharma companies and top biotechs from the U.S. Europe and Japan. Its state-of-the-art facilities are in Porto Portugal.
As a Senior Accountant the responsibility is to maintain the financial integrity of the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles strong analytical skills and experience in handling advanced accounting tasks. The Senior Accountant is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting supporting the month-end and year-end close processes and assisting with strategic financial planning.
Tasks
- Oversee all aspects of general ledger accounting
- Manage complex account reconciliations and financial close processes
- Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports
- Contribute to budget preparation forecasting and variance analysis
- Propose the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards tax laws and regulations
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management
- Oversee cash management and treasury functions
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Collaborate with other departments on financial matters
Requirements
Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field; masters degree preferred
5-8 years of progressive accounting experience
In-depth knowledge of GAAP IFRS and financial reporting requirements
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Adaptability to changing regulatory environments and business needs
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English essentialh essential
