Required Skills/Experience
7 years of proven experience with:
Experience developing category strategies category/contracts plans and identifying opportunities to optimize total cost of ownership through the supply chain
Experience with conducting negotiations measuring and managing supplier performance SQMs ASRs and balanced scorecard development.
Knowledge of Drilling and Completion services and commodities contractual agreements.
Well Abandonment (P&A/Workovers) experience is preferred.
Obtaining and interpreting appropriate market and performance intelligence to drive good business decisions
Working knowledge of Smart PowerBI.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and manage performance an influence model.
Summary
The Category Manager will define contract strategies analyze and optimize spend and foster productive working relationships with both suppliers and stakeholders in the Well Abandonment space (land and offshore) for certain Chevron assets. Activities include developing category plans strategic sourcing developing contractual agreements managing supplier performance process improvements with suppliers to achieve the lowest TCO and others.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Fosters effective working relationships with Wells Abandonment technical team Suppliers and other supply chain teams to deliver value to Chevron through optimized contractual agreements
Able to support Wells Abandonment operations/technical team address needs and add value through supply chain activities: leading sourcing events preparation and evaluation of bid documents learning technical requirements monitoring supplier performance etc in partnership with stakeholders and supporting functions. Monitor supplier s/ contractor s performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms and support resolution of any disputes or deviations.
Act as primary focal point for internal and external stakeholders on all contractual matters from negotiation to close-out.
Draft review negotiate and manage all contractual documents and exhibits in coordination with Legal and other cross-functional areas.
Prepare presentations and reports for management approval.
