WHAT WE SEEK
We are seeking a high integrity organized and proactive individual to contribute to our Corporate Development this role you will support our portfolio with near-term M&A activity strategic initiatives and post-acquisition integration efforts. We prefer in person contributions at our lab in Los Angeles with some hybrid/remote flexibility. There is the potential for weekend work to accommodate for deal timelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Market intelligence: Conduct market research to identify industry themes and trends both with our internal tools and primary studies within our expert network
- Due diligence: Lead the analysis of financial statements operating metrics and business models for identified and upcoming investment opportunities
- Financial modeling: Build and maintain financial models for target companies including capital structure alternatives scenario planning and sensitivity analyses
- Investment Memos: Prepare thoughtful and concise data-driven materials to communicate due diligence insights to senior leadership and external investors
- Portfolio Operations: Scope and execute integration opportunities leveraging latest technology and our talent to drive operating metrics & efficiency
- Strategic Partnerships: Assist in structuring partnerships and mechanics that expand portfolio value and open new growth and distribution channels
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the executive legal accounting and advisory teams to ensure alignment on deal strategy documentation and execution
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of prior experience in investment banking management consulting private equity or corporate strategy
- Exceptional research and critical thinking capabilities based on first principles
- Strong data-driven analytical skills financial modeling and valuation skills a plus
- Proficiency in Excel SQL Tableau and comfortable leveraging latest AI tools
- Comfortable working in fast-paced ambiguous and highly entrepreneurial environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with or interest in healthcare/longevity area is a plus
