Job Summary
Title:: Azure Infrastructure Administrator
Location:: Toronto-Ontario
- We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Administrator with 7 years of expertise in managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure
- for analytics and AI platforms The role focuses on ensuring high availability performance capacity planning monitoring and cost optimization
- for Azure services such as Synapse Microsoft Fabric Azure OpenAI and related analytics workloads
- The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of infrastructure governance monitoring tools and performance tuning within the Azure ecosystem
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Azure infrastructure components supporting analytics and AI workloads Synapse Fabric Azure OpenAI
- Implement and monitor system performance availability and capacity metrics using Azure Monitor Log Analytics and related tools
- Ensure scalability and high availability of data and AI solutions through proactive infrastructure management
- Develop and enforce governance policies resource tagging and cost management strategies
- Manage security configurations identity and access controls for Azure resources
- Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting for compute storage and networking issues
- Configure and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies for critical services
- Work with DevOps teams to support CICD pipelines and infrastructure as code IaC automation
- Stay updated on Azure best practices and new capabilities in analytics and AI infrastructure
- Provide incident response root cause analysis and preventive measures for infrastructure issues
Required Skill Set
- 7 years of experience in Azure infrastructure administration and operations
- Handson experience with Azure Synapse Analytics Microsoft Fabric and Azure OpenAI infrastructure setup and optimization
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and ing tools Azure Monitor Application Insights Log Analytics
- Expertise in performance tuning capacity planning and cost optimization for Azure resources
- Experience with security identity management Azure AD and compliance policies
- Knowledge of network configurations private endpoints and VNET integration
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools ARM Templates Bicep Terraform or PowerShell
- Experience working in highavailability missioncritical environments
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field
- Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate AZ104 or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Experience managing analytics and AI workloads OpenAI integration Fabric Data workflows
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CICD pipelines for infrastructure deployment
- Understanding of data security governance and compliance frameworks
- Strong problemsolving analytical and communication skills
