Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy and Leadership

  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to develop execute and refine high-impact procurement and sourcing strategies.

  • Mentor and supervise junior staff ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality work output.

  • Contribute to setting and enforcing procurement policy and guidelines to ensure a commercial compliant and cost-effective process across the business.

  • Drive process improvement and implement necessary organizational change to better procure goods and services.

Sourcing and Contract Management

  • Lead the end-to-end procurement and contracting lifecycle including vendor pre-qualification tender management negotiation and contract finalization.

  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies to secure optimal terms prices and service level agreements with strategic suppliers.

  • Actively source vet and partner with a reliable and diverse base of vendors and suppliers.

  • Manage supplier relationships and key internal stakeholder relationships to ensure clear requirements high service levels and continuous business improvement.

Analysis and Risk Mitigation

  • Monitor and forecast upcoming demand levels price fluctuations and market trends to anticipate changes in buyer-supplier dynamics.

  • Conduct in-depth cost analysis scenario planning and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive value for money.

  • Track and report key functional metrics (KPIs) to drive efficiency reduce expenses and measure overall effectiveness.

  • Assess manage and mitigate supply chain and procurement-related risks to ensure security of supply and business continuity.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree required in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a closely related discipline.

  • Experience: Proven track record of at least five (5) years managing complex procurement activities within the market of the State of Qatar.

  • License: Must possess a valid Qatar Driving License.
