Title – Head of Talent Management

Role Reports To – CHRO

Job Description
The Head Talent Management is responsible for driving key talent initiatives such as Performance management Succession management Talent planning Career pathing and employee engagement to achieve business goals create an internal bench of top talent and ensure that our client has the right people in the right roles at the right time.
The role will involve understanding business priorities and ensuring there is an effective plan in place to build strong diverse talent pipelines to meet current and future needs identifying opportunities and developing insight driven strategies.
As Head of Talent Management your Role & Responsibilities will include;
Primary Responsibilities:
Human Resources Expertise
- Develop and oversee the Talent Management strategy building best practices and new talent that align to our Client’s mission strategy and culture.
- Lead the next evolution of Performance management developing and implementing a progressive process and system to support the dynamic needs of our business and employees’ ongoing development.
- Drive the approach and consistent delivery of talent processes such as Succession planning Talent reviews HiPo development etc. to meet current and future needs within business units and across the organization - increasing visibility and accountability to enhance talent readiness strengthen capabilities and ensure diversity in the pipeline.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and partner closely with business leaders People Business Partners and colleagues to design integrated and seamless talent solutions.
- Partner with executive leaders and corresponding HRBPs to create targeted development plans for high potential leaders and successor candidates identified for critical roles.
- Create a scalable strategy for career pathing and internal mobility in a rapidly growing and complex organization collaborating with multiple teams on topics such as job architecture functional competencies promotion process secondments/ rotational assignments and career development programs.
- Benchmark talent management approaches and build a strong network with peers inside and outside the organization to continuously evaluate and enhance talent processes.
- Lead the ongoing performance and development of direct reports fostering a culture of collaboration trust excellence and impact.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work towards ensuring that the HR team is sharing best practice and optimising
- Provide a professional supportive service to all internal stakeholders regardless of grade or seniority.
- Strong communication and leadership skills are a must.
- Incumbent will also need to be strategic influential and confident in building relationships with employees at all levels.
- You will need a commercial mindset and to be analytical in your approach.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum 18 to 20 years of experience working in Learning & OD Talent Management Organizational Development roles
- Good knowledge of developments and Expertise in Learning development and talent.
- 8 plus years leadership experience with demonstrated ability to lead both programs and develop high performing teams
- Proven track record of leading organization-wide/ large scale talent initiatives that effectively drive change and transformation improving employee engagement retention and talent mobility. (Experience implementing new talent management technology systems a plus)
- Strong subject matter expertise in performance management frameworks talent and succession planning competency and behavioural modelling and career pathing
- Demonstrated success designing and implementing innovative talent management programs and solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Experience working with manufacturing organization a plus
- Talent or People analytics experience a plus
- Strong ability to coach and consult leaders through change and transformation
- Experience working in a fast paced collaborative environment with the ability to navigate ambiguity make timely decisions and implement ideas into action
Experience Required:
- MBA in Human Resources (Full Time) from a premier university
- 18 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with leadership experience in Talent Management & L&OD practices with a strategic outlook.
- Experience with Indian MNC environment highly desirable
- Having worked with companies having well regarded HR practices.
