Job Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW

Supports the design and development of engineering projects systems and components by collaborating with team members on clear defined objectives. Projects typically involve standard plans surveys structures or equipment.
Assists in preparing complete project documentation including drawings specifications and cost estimates while organizing and analyzing relevant project data.
Applies standard engineering techniques and problem-solving methods with guidance as needed particularly on complex or unfamiliar tasks.
Manages multiple moderate-sized projects or portions of larger projects using time efficiently to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
Helps develop project scopes tasks budgets schedules and proposals including bid documents and technical reports.
Attends meetings collaborates with clients and contractors and may present on specific technical aspects of assignments.
Occasional nights or weekends may be required on short notice.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering or related field
25 years of bridge engineering experience
Knowledge of FDOT and AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications
Proficient in AutoCAD or Civil 3D; OpenBridge Designer or InfraWorks a plus
Familiarity with MathCAD preferred
Strong skills in MS Outlook Excel and Word

LICENSURE

Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
