Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Remote Oregon preferred; candidates in other West Coast states (WA CA) will also be considered
Compensation:$140000$160000 annually depending on experience and qualifications
Work Environment: Remote with limited travel for site visits and client meetings

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our expanding team. This is a leadership-level role focused on delivering complex structural engineering solutions while mentoring junior staff and maintaining strong client relationships.

Youll work across a wide range of heavy industrial and infrastructure projects supporting everything from small retrofits to large-scale greenfield developments. The ideal candidate has a deep foundation in structural engineering enjoys collaborating in a multi-discipline environment and is confident in front of clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Design

• Lead structural design for foundations (shallow mat and deep) supporting pumps vessels buildings and pipe racks
• Design steel structures including towers pipe bridges platforms and multistory buildings
• Support marine infrastructure such as piers walkways bulkheads and dolphins
• Deliver structural designs for occupied and non-occupied buildings (both prefabricated and stick-built)
• Conduct structural evaluations retrofits inspections and construction support

Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor junior engineers fostering both technical and soft skill development
• Manage structural scope on single- and multi-discipline projects
• Provide quality oversight and technical leadership across projects
• Contribute to team development and knowledge sharing

Client Engagement & Strategic Support

• Develop scopes of work budgets and resource plans
• Represent the company in client-facing meetings and project reviews
• Support early-phase engineering feasibility studies and permitting efforts
• Help identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposal efforts

Who Were Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• PE and SE licenses
• 20 years of structural engineering experience including leadership roles
• Proven experience in heavy industrial and/or renewable energy sectors
• Strong knowledge of design codes standards and best practices
• Skilled in leading projects from concept through construction
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with client-facing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in marine or bridge design
• Familiarity with permitting processes and early-stage project development
• Located in Oregon or open to relocation (relocation assistance available)
