Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Pediatrics. As a Locum MD you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services in the field of Pediatrics. This position is vital to ensuring continuity of care for pediatric patients and supporting healthcare facilities during staff shortages. You will be involved in a variety of pediatric projects contributing to the well-being of young patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical care to pediatric patients in various healthcare settings.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses injuries and other pediatric conditions.
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients families and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in pediatric medicine.
- Adhere to all relevant medical standards regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Pediatrics.
- Valid state medical license.
- Proven experience working as a Pediatrician.
- Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care.
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts 7-day stretches
Level II nursery
Patient Census: 3-5 pediatrics and 3-15 newborns per day
Duties: Provide care for pediatric patients call for emergency or complicated c-sections ED call for pediatric patients
Required Procedures:Neonatal resuscitation
Support Staff:RNs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
