Job Summary

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner VES Office
Employment Type: Locum
Compensation: $100.00 per hour (estimated)
Dates: 12/8/2025 12/7/2026

Overview: Provide essential healthcare services to Veterans as a Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine. Conduct assessments and evaluations including Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments with primarily interview-based exams and some physical assessments. Complete evaluations in the portal and submit reports within required timeframes. Follow-up administrative work is required regularly. This position offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities:

Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments
Conduct primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments
Complete evaluations and submit reporting/DBQs within 48 hours
Conduct follow-up administrative work including addendums and medical opinions
Maintain compliance with documentation requirements and clinical guidelines

Schedule:

Option to work half-days (4 hours) or full-days (8 hours)
Follow-up administrative work required regularly

Travel:

Providers must be within the specified radius of the assigned location

Qualifications:

Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license
Masters degree or higher
Minimum of one year of experience in internal medicine family practice or orthopedic surgery
Active membership with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
NPI number required

Open Locations and Coverage Details:

California

Bakersfield: 1 day per week 50-mile radius required

Idaho

Idaho Falls: 1 day per week 30-mile radius required

Kentucky

Morehead: 1 day per week 50-mile radius required
