Job Title: Joinery Estimator

Industry: Fit-outs refurbishments joinery (office hotels residential)

Employment Type: 40 hours per week (full-time)

Rate: 10-11AUD/hour

The client is situated in Ingleburn and has been operating for over 15 years. They have completed numerous joinery projects from refurbishments to complete fit outs covering all sectors of the industry including Residential Commercial Government (Retail and Commercial).

Scale-X Solutions have partnered with the client to seek an initiative-taking and experienced Joinery Estimator with strong Commercial and Architectural skills to join their team.

As an estimator you will be working closely daily with the Managing Director and our Production Manager.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Project estimation

Preparing a Scope of Works for a wide range of projects

Obtaining competitively priced materials

Undertake material take offs.

Preparation and participation in Tender Handover meetings

Form relationships with existing clients including following up on existing tenders.

Ensure compliance with Tender requirements.

Prepare construction budget by studying plans specification and schedules identifying and projecting costs.

Measurement of critical take-off metrics and preparation of bill of quantities

Sending and tracking of tender packages to contractors and suppliers.

Report on tender risk & opportunities

Ensure tender submissions are in line with client requirements.

Candidates must have:

Excellent communication skills

Proficiency in Word and Excel

Working knowledge and understanding of architectural drawings

Must be flexible and be able to work to tight deadlines.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team.

Flexible and progressive in thinking and be able to action thoughts.

Qualifications:

3-5 years experience training &/or knowledge of joinery estimating.
