As we expand our operations we are seeking a Finance and Accountant to strengthen our financial management compliance and project analysis functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills a solid understanding of international standards and the ability to set up robust financial systems to support diverse projects.

Role Summary

The Finance and Accountant will manage all accounting and financial reporting functions oversee budgeting and financial planning and conduct detailed financial studies in line with international standards for our projects. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong analytical capabilities attention to detail and the ability to design and implement end-to-end accounting systems that support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with IFRS and Nigerian accounting standards.
  

• Manage the general ledger reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing processes.
  

• Prepare and analyze financial statements management accounts and performance reports.
  

• Design implement and maintain efficient accounting systems and procedures across all departments.
  

Financial Studies & Project Analysis

• Conduct detailed financial studies and feasibility assessments for local and international projects.
  

• Provide in-depth financial modeling cost analysis and scenario planning to guide investment decisions.
  

• Develop comprehensive reports that align with international finance and project evaluation standards.
  

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws and relevant international financial regulations.
  

• Prepare and file VAT PAYE WHT and corporate tax returns accurately and on time.
  

• Liaise with auditors tax consultants and regulatory bodies as required.
  

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Support the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  

• Track spending and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency.
  

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
  

Internal Controls & Audit

• Establish and maintain strong internal control frameworks.
  

• Support internal and external audit processes through timely documentation and reporting.
  

• Ensure adherence to company financial policies and best practices.
  

Systems & Process Improvement

• Utilize accounting and ERP systems to improve efficiency data accuracy and reporting.
  

• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and transparency.
  

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics or a related discipline.
  

• Professional certification such as ACCA ICAN or CPA (mandatory).
  

Experience:

• 610 years of relevant experience in accounting finance and project financial analysis.
  

• Proven experience in setting up accounting systems and managing end-to-end financial operations.
  

• Strong knowledge of IFRS Nigerian tax laws and statutory reporting standards.
  

• Experience in technology infrastructure or service-oriented industries is an advantage.
