We are hiring Staff Nurse -Theatre (Anaesthetic and Recovery) to our Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities- To work as a member of a team of nurses in the Hospital theatre department providing high-quality patientcare care for patients and their families.
- To develop and maintain good relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and to work closely with nursing colleagues to develop innovative practices within the unit delivering evidence-based care.
- The theatre nurse will be expected to assist in a wide range of specialties (e.g. PACU Anaesthetic).
- To develop specialist knowledge of nursing practice relating to his or her clinical area.
- Develop and maintain effective communication and interpersonal relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure good team spirit and collaborative working practices.
- Support the theatre manager by meeting agreed responsibilities as set out by the theatre manager or the chief nursing officer at any time.
- Identify and discuss nursing and patient needs with consultants and the nursing team multidisciplinary team patients and carers.
Requirements
- Possess a valid NMBI Pin and be included on the general division of the NMBIs registry of nurses (both of which are required).
- Have worked in an acute Irish hospital setting for at least a year after registering (important)
- Prior familiarity with theater anesthesia is necessary.
- Possess demonstrated clinical and professional skills
- Possess outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills and be a great communicator.
- Possess strong IT abilities and be proficient with Microsoft products such as Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in English is a prerequisite for the position.
- Adopt a flexible approach to your work schedule.
- Demonstrate the capacity to collaborate well with a multidisciplinary team.
- Must have 1 year or more experience in an Acute Irish Hospital.
