Role Overview
As a Senior Business Analyst you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering sustainability initiatives. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to analyse define and deliver solutions that support our sustainability objectives including regulatory compliance (e.g. CSRD/ISSB) ESG reporting and operational transformation. You will be expected to lead on complex analysis mentor colleagues and ensure that sustainability considerations are embedded in all aspects of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the investigation analysis and documentation of requirements for sustainability-related projects ensuring alignment with regulatory and business objectives.
- Shape solution designs in partnership with sustainability finance and technical SMEs.
- Drive the analysis of data infrastructure and processes to support robust sustainability reporting and operational improvements.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to elicit requirements and build consensus.
- Mentor and support other Business Analysts fostering best practices in sustainability analysis and delivery.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues risks and dependencies particularly those related to sustainability data and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to governance standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of sustainability project methodologies.
- Stay abreast of emerging sustainability regulations and best practices and ensure these are reflected in project deliverables.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of business analysis techniques with a strong track record in sustainability regulatory or ESG-focused projects.
- Ability to analyse and optimise business processes for sustainability outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills including the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
- Experience working with data and technology teams to deliver sustainability solutions.
- Comfortable working in Agile Waterfall and hybrid environments.
- Strong critical thinking research and problem-solving skills.
- Experience mentoring or coaching colleagues.
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst or similar ideally in sustainability ESG or regulatory projects within financial services or a related sector.
- Familiarity with sustainability regulations (e.g. CSRD ISSB) and reporting frameworks.
- Experience facilitating workshops and managing complex stakeholder groups.
- Knowledge of sustainability data reporting and operational transformation.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments.
