Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs Manager (MAM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the healthcare or diagnostic sector. A strong background in microbiology is essential as this role requires deep expertise in clinical laboratory environments particularly in infectious diseases and molecular diagnostics.
The Medical Affairs Manager serves as a key local (Country/Hub) representative within the Medical Affairs team acting as a strategic liaison between the organization and external stakeholders. This role provides non-promotional product and scientific support to the commercial organization by leveraging clinical knowledge academic credentials and scientific expertise in relevant therapeutic and diagnostic areas.
Candidates must demonstrate a robust understanding of microbiology including disease states diagnostic pathways emerging clinical evidence and ongoing research. Experience in molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases is particularly valuable. The MAM also contributes to the development and execution of the clinical research strategy ensuring the safety and integrity of clinical studies involving licensed products and solutions.

Main responsibilities will include:
  • Support development and implementationofstrategic scientific and educational initiatives aligned with integrated Medical Affairs objectives.
  • Establish andmaintaincredible peer-to-peer scientific relationships with local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other healthcare partners.
  • Serve as the primary source of clinical and scientific information for healthcare professionals (HCPs) within assigned scientificclinicaland diagnostic areas.
  • Facilitate KOL participation in advisory boards investigator meetings educational symposia and sponsored promotional programs.
  • Attend relevant scientific and medical congresses to gather insights and report key findings to internal partners.
  • Act as Medical Reviewer/Approver for promotional materials within the territory/region as delegated by Business Unit Medical Affairs leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison for Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS) supporting investigators through the application process and monitoring study progressin accordance withresearch grant agreements.
  • Assistinidentifyinginvestigators and clinical sites for company-sponsored trials.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the organizations products current scientific literature and emerging research.
  • Provide expert support to commercial initiatives (e.g. promotional talks corporate symposia advisory boards brand planning) while ensuring these activitiesremaina minorityportionof the overall workload.
  • Build trust and foster collaboration across Medical Affairs and commercial teams.
  • Ensure achievement of individual goals aligned with team and businessobjectives.
  • Deliver actionable customer insights and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions and tactical planning.
Your profile
  • Masters degree or equivalent experience or higher in Life SciencesMedicine ora related healthcare field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the healthcare or diagnostic sector with a strong understanding of medical scientific or clinical laboratory environments.
  • In-depth understanding of scientific methodologies diagnostics practice and/or laboratory medicinewith particular expertise in microbiology and molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases.
  • Solid knowledge of study design data interpretation and study evaluation.
  • Proven ability to build andmaintainrelationships with KOLs and the broader scientific/medical community.
  • Workingproficiencyin German and English isrequired
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time within CEE isrequired
