Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse Substitute

As a Special School District (SSD) licensed practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse (RN) substitute you will be an advocate for students by modifying managing or removing health-related barriers to learning. You will ensure students can thrive in their school setting as independently as possible through your nursing care and empower them to care for themselves. By helping them safely attend school you will be part of a team committed to helping every student excel to their greatest potential. Substitutes are used at various locations throughout St. Louis County as needed.
LPNs and RNs work primarily during school hours (which may vary based on building assignment). Please note: some LPNs and RNs may also ride the bus to and from school with their student(s). They can also serve single or multiple schools depending upon their assignment.

Education & Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program required
- Experience with pediatrics children with special health needs and/or pediatric psychiatry preferred
Certificates Licenses Registrations
- Practical Nursing License in the state of Missouri required
- CPR - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified required
