Job Summary:The Accounting Assistant III maintains accurate financial records. Provides accounting and bookkeeping support. Assists University staff in understanding industry standards current laws and university policy as it relates to the financial affairs of the University. Provides guidance trains and/or may supervise entry-level Accounting Assistants.
Additional Department Summary:Assists in developing and administering budgets and monitor adherence to financial policy and procedures established by the University specifically in the Department of Communication Studies.
Required Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; OR associates degree and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; OR bachelors degree.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with higher education budgeting systems and policies. Experience working with external publics in processing payments and handling registration.
