Boys & Girls Aid is currently seeking a full-time Education Specialist to join our team and support youth experiencing homelessness in reconnecting with education and career pathways.

What Boys & Girls Aid Can Offer You

  • Pay Range: $22.00 $23.00 per hour
  • Bilingual Incentive: 8% additional pay for Spanish speaking staff

What Youll Do as an Education Specialist

  • Support up to 15 youth with education and career planning
  • Conduct assessments set goals and develop service plans
  • Meet youth and families in homes schools and community settings
  • Advocate for youth in educational systems and help remove barriers
  • Collaborate with teachers counselors and community partners
  • Support youth in building life skills and accessing vocational opportunities
  • Track progress and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Social Work Education Psychology Sociology or related field OR 4 years of relevant experience
  • 2 years of professional and/or lived experience working with youth
  • Valid Oregon or Washington drivers license and clean driving record
  • Strong communication mediation and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and community resources
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
  • Preferred: Bilingual Spanish-English
