Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking a part-time instructor to teach in person Psychology courses at the undergraduate level. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and overall student demand. When a need arises the department will select qualified candidates from this pool. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach in-person sections of PSY 1110 (Elementary Statistical Reasoning) or PSY 2110 (Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences) PSY 1010 (General Psychology) and PSY 2410 (Child and Adolescent Psychology) in person at Eastern Lancaster Chillicothe Southern or Zanesville . Online options may become available. PSY 1110 Elementary Statistical Reasoning Introduction to research methodology and descriptive and inferential statistics emphasizing the development of practical reasoning skills necessary for the comprehension and critical evaluation of statistical information typically encountered in everyday life. PSY 2110 Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences Introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics with emphasis on inferential statistics. No credit for both 2110 and any of the following: MATH 2500 QBA 2010 COMS 3520 ISE 3200 ET 2450 or LET 3555. PSY 1010 General Psychology Introduction to psychology. Survey of topics in experimental and clinical psychology including physiological bases of behavior sensation perception learning memory human development social processes personality and abnormal behavior. PSY 2410 Child and Adolescent Psychology Basic principles of human development from the prenatal period through adolescence. Theory and literature on physical cognitive and socioemotional development. No credit awarded if HCCF 1600 or EDEL 2000 has been taken. Will not count toward requirements for Education majors. Positions will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term. Future possibility for various delivery modes including in person/face-to-face hybrid or via technology. This is a part-time position eligible for sick leave and retirement benefits.

Minimum Qualifications
1000-Level Psychology Courses: Minimum Credential: Masters degree in Psychology or a Masters degree and a cohesive set of 18 semester credit hours of psychology-relevant graduate course work. Degree earned prior to start of appointment. 2000-level and above Psychology Courses: Minimum Credential: Ph.D. in Psychology. Degree earned prior to start of appointment.
