Clinical Research Psychology Technician

Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research (PAVIR) supports the nations second largest research program conducted among the VA Hospitals and is looking for a temporary part-time Clinical Research Psychology Technician who will support Principal Investigator Dr. Eric Kuhn.

The Life Sciences Psychology Technician position is located within the National Center for PTSD digital interventions laboratory at the Palo alto VA Medical Center and calls for a highly motivated intelligent responsible conscientious and detail-oriented individual. The successful candidate must be a quick learner who enjoys acquiring new skills advancing projects independently and collaboratively.

This is a part time 20 hours/week position.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with drafting protocols for IRB submission
• Assist with programing REDCap projects
• Recruit and screen potential research participants
• Conduct appointments with research participants (e.g. involving administering self-report measures)
• Enter clean and check research data
• Assist with data formatting coding and analysis
• Conduct literature reviews and assist with documentation of references
• Maintain lab and study records
• Attend meetings with PI and other research team members
• Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required:
  • Undergraduate student;
  • 0-1 year undergraduate;
• Desired:
  • Area of study in Behavioral Science (e.g. Psychology) Mathematics and Computer Science;
  • More than 1 year research lab experience;
  • Willingness to work with military veterans
  • Strong organizational skills work ethic ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others as a team in a productive manner.
