Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Casual Commis Chef to join the professional and dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis Chef you will get to work within a dynamic hotel F&B operation across breakfast lunch & dinner helping to create memorable culinary moments for our guests.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair within the cost margins specified by the hotel.
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.  Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy including washing dishes and kitchen cleaning.  Ensure all equipment is maintained serviced and cleaned.  Report any problems to the Head Chef

 


Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you should demonstrate:

  • Trade qualification and experience in a similar role preferably within a hotel or restaurant environment - experience in dinner service required.
  • Excellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniques and styles.
  • Exemplary communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to maintain high and consistent standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain food safety standards and understanding of HACCP.
