Job Title: Social Media & Content Coordinator FLSA Status: Salary full-time Location: In-person; Asheville NC Reports to: Destination Marketing Manager Highland Brewing is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Social Media & Content Coordinator to manage multiple social media accounts across a variety of platforms and create engaging high-quality content that amplifies our digital presence. Regular coordination with the Hospitality Production and Leadership teams is required to craft the narrative of our brewery and beer brands driving community engagement and sharing the Highland Brewing experience. Our ideal candidate is a natural storyteller who loves engaging with communities both online and offline. The Social Media & Content Coordinator should thrive in a collaborative environment and work in-person with our on-site team. As Ashevilles Original Craft Brewery Highland is an established leader in Southeastern beer with distribution in four states operating a first-class brewery manufacturing facility with sports programming live music and private event venues. The ideal candidate will use social media to promote Highlands spirit heritage and product quality to build brand engagement drive regional market awareness and visitation to Highlands destination brewery. Job Responsibilities - Create on-brand engaging content (photos videos graphics) tailored for platforms including Instagram Facebook Pinterest and LinkedIn
- Monitor schedule and manage posts ensuring alignment with our brands voice and tone to drive traffic boost brand awareness and increase attendance at events
- Design paid social media ad campaigns with collaboration from Marketing Manager
- Gather and report organic and paid social campaign data
- Be the on-ground storytellercapture on-site product photography with in-house Cannon camera lights and backdrops staff headshots live content at events and production related content including brew days and product packaging
- Strategically plan manage and execute editorial content calendars including content brainstorming creation collaboration timing scheduling monitoring and reporting
- Monitor and engage communities within Highlands owned channels by promptly responding to comments messages and interactions with followers
- Attend programming meetings for Hospitality & Production as needed to align on content opportunities and coverage
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in social media entertainment and hospitality marketing to keep Highland Brewings content fresh and impactful
- Attend and contribute to weekly Marketing team meetings to collaborate on campaigns and brand strategies
Education - High School Diploma
- Associate or bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Visual Arts or a related field preferred
- Please note: nontraditional coursework or significant work experience will be considered and appreciated in lieu of education
Experience - Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in social media content creation or digital marketing
- Experience or passion for craft beer food/beverage industry or consumer packaged goods
- Product and/or lifestyle photography
Specific Knowledge Skills and Availability - Strong content creation skills including photography and iPhone video
- Ability to product high-quality photos with in-house mirrorless Cannon camera
- Proficiency with tools such as Meta Business Suite Canva Adobe Creative Suite and social media scheduling tools
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
- Understanding of Microsoft Suite and Apple operating systems
- Ability to communicate efficiently while working on a small-but-mighty team
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends for events
- Will need age (at least 21) valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
At-Will Employment: Employment with Highland Brewing Co. may be terminated by either Highland or the employee at any time with or without cause or notice.
