Job Overview:
We are looking for a Technical Test Lead to supervise and handle the testing phase of our software development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background excellent leadership skills and a passion for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. As a Technical Test Lead you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop test strategies create test plans and complete test cases to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the testing effort throughout the software development lifecycle including planning design execution and reporting.
Collaborate with project managers developers and quality assurance teams to define testing objectives requirements and priorities.
Develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans based on project requirements and specifications.
Design and implement automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
Identify document and track software defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Manual Testing: Conduct manual testing as needed daily playthroughs exploring different game scenarios features and functionalities to identify bugs inconsistencies and areas for improvement.
Regression Testing: Implement and complete regression testing procedures to verify the stability and performance of game builds across various platforms and environments.
Defect Management: Document track and prioritize defects using bug tracking systems and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and validation of reported issues.
Automated Testing: Develop and maintain automated test suites harnesses and frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages to ensure efficient and effective testing coverage.
Performance Testing: Design complete and analyze performance tests to identify bottlenecks optimize game performance monitor health and enhance overall player experience.
Monitor and analyze test results metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Mentor and coach team members on testing standard methodologies tools and techniques.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software testing and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience (3 years) in software testing with a focus on test planning execution and automation.
Strong technical background
Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium Appium or JUnit.
Excellent leadership communication and social skills.
Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced environment and lead multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.

The pay range for this position in British Columbia at the start of employment is expected to be between $60700 and $89860 per Year. However base pay offered is based on market location and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates such as job-related knowledge skills experience and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
