Job Skills / Requirements
This role is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Sprinkler Division including recruitment training and development of our union sprinkler fitters who inspect service and maintain sprinkler systems across the Midwest region. This leadership role requires a strong background in sprinkler systems team management and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain union relationships to oversee hiring training and continuous development of union fitters ensuring they meet company and industry standards.
- Align with strategic objectives by managing KPIs for the division and driving continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal fire safety regulations.
- Create and maintain schedules for inspections and service calls ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians as needed.
- Cultivate a strong team culture fostering open communication and professional growth.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure excellent customer service.
- Prepare and manage division budgets ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends technologies and regulations related to sprinkler systems.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in sprinkler systems inspections service installation or a related field strongly preferred.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire safety regulations.
- NICET certification in fire sprinkler systems.
- Bachelors degree in business management engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in hiring training and developing technical teams.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within the Midwest region.
