Job Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all plant and building equipment. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience particularly in industrial laundry systems or large industrial machinery. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and a team of 45 technicians to keep operations running efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery conveyors dryers and other mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical electrical and electronic issues to identify root causes of equipment jams or failures.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of parts and repairs.
Coordinate with the Chief Engineer on inspections overhauls and scheduling of maintenance tasks.
Ensure proper inventory of machine parts and supplies.
Support and implement OSHA-compliant safety procedures and serve on the Safety Committee.
Assist and train maintenance staff on proper repair techniques and maintenance procedures.
Inspect equipment and monitor work quality to ensure efficient plant operations.
Perform occasional welding and fabrication as needed (approx. 5% of duties).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance and electrical experience (required).
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) preferred.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read schematics.
Hands-on experience in industrial laundry manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment preferred.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and compliance practices.
Excellent communication organizational and recordkeeping skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
