The opportunity:
As a Forming Service Fitter reporting to Mould Maintenance Supervisor you will work in a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday 6.30am to 3.00pm at our Visy Glass Penrose Site. You will apply your engineering knowledge and skills to carry out repairs and maintenance on all glass forming moulds and ancillary equipment ensuring high quality production outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure moulds and ancillary equipment meet quality specifications and production timelines.
- Use and understand all aspects of measuring equipment within the department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support seamless operations.
- Apply engineering knowledge to achieve best practice outcomes in the glass containers production.
- Maintain compliance with safety quality and environmental standards.
- Uphold high standards of workplace safety and occupational health.

What you will bring to the team:
As a minimum you will be a Fitter Machinist that is wanting to step up and take ownership of maintaining forming moulds and ancillary equipment. A proactive team player you thrive under pressure and maintain high standards in fast paced environments. You will also have:
- Mechanical Trade qualification or equivalent (toolmaking experience an advantage).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment ideally medium to heavy industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Have a basic knowledge of clearances and tolerances with an ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on Health Safety and Environmental practices.
- Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
