Join us as Grader Operator in our Timaru Maintenance Team!

We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Timaru Maintenance Team as a Grader this role you will be the part of a small grader operation team on the Timaru District Council Road Maintenance Contract which covers 760kms of local roads.

If you have a willingness to learn and have a passion for operating machinery we can help provide the training necessary to get you up to scratch.

In addition to the above you will:

• Lead Maintenance grading for the TDC Road Maintenance Contract.
• Complete inspections of unsealed roads potholing and snow clearing.
• Operate with a high attention to detail to ensure accurate recording and reporting.
• Operate the grader to shape metal build up sites and granular overlay sites.
• Assist with general maintenance activities as required.

Were looking for someone with:

• Full Class 2 Licence and WR Endorsements.
• Previous experience operating graders is advantageous.
• Proven experience meeting productivity targets.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to work unsupervised as well as work in with the team.
• The ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive approach to Health and Safety - its our #1 priority!
• Quality focussed with a high attention to detail.
• A willingness to learn and upskill.
