Shaw Sports Turf is a leading synthetic turf provider in North America delivering innovative high-performance sports surfaces for athletes at all levels. We are committed to excellence innovation and customer satisfaction and were looking for a dynamic Business Development Associate to help grow our brand and impact across California.
Our Shaw Sports Turf Sales Organization is looking to hire a Business Development Associate. This high-performing individual contributor will work closely with our California Territory Sales Manager and Regional Field Advisor to expand Shaw Sports Turfs presence in the California market. This role is focused on educating engaging and developing relationships with key stakeholders to generate demand for Shaw Sports Turf products and services. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator strategic thinker and passionate advocate for sports and turf solutions.
This position will work remotely from California with travel across California into Nevada and other regional events.
Responsibilities:
Educate Engage Develop Generate
Educateend users through seminars webinars digital content and field events.
Engagewith large end-user groups to build brand awareness and preference.
Developmeaningful relationships and content that resonate with target audiences.
Generatequalified leads and facilitate smooth transitions to the Territory Management Team.
Trade Show Strategy
Coordinate Shaw Sports Turfs presence at trade shows with a focus onengagement over exhibition.
Maximize reach and exposurebefore during and afterevents.
Ensure timely and effectivefollow-upwith leads and contacts post-event.
End User Group Engagement
Actively network and build relationships with key organizations (e.g. CPRS CASH CIF CCCAD).
Organize and lead Shaw Sports TurfField Trips site visits andcontinuing education events.
Leveragedigital outreachincluding social media webinars and online seminars.
Content Development & Brand Representation
Collaborate with theBrand and Marketing teamsto create compelling digital content.
Develop and delivereducational content including:
Maintenance Seminars
End User Testimonials
Product Demonstrations
Lead Management & CRM
Qualify and nurture leads generated through daily activities and events.
Transition prospects to Territory Managers as projects progress.
UtilizeSalesforce (Account Engagement)to implement track and measure marketing campaigns.
Manage accounts and opportunities to ensure consistent pipeline growth.
Requirements:
3 years of experience in business development sales or marketing preferably in sports sports construction K-12 Higher Education or related industries.
Ability to travel up to 50% at times by plane and car across the western region especially the state of California.
Preferred skills and experiences:
Bachelors degree preferred.
Industry experience in sports construction and installation across end-users such as Collegiate and Professional Sports Teams K-12 and Higher Education Institutions Parks and Recreation organizations; Sports construction design and engineering firms; Sports facility material manufacturers or distributors such as turf scoreboards equipment infields stadium lighting etc.
Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and digital marketing platforms.
Strong organizational communication and networking skills.
