Job Summary

Grounds and Fields Technician

Full Time Non-Exempt

Ravenscroft School seeks a Grounds and Fields Technician to support the upkeep safety and appearance of campus grounds athletic fields and outdoor facilities. This role involves landscape maintenance field preparation and equipment operation/maintenance to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all members of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform landscaping tasks including mowing trimming edging and pruning shrubs/trees
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers chainsaws trimmers edgers)
Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
Assist with athletic field preparation game-day set-up and post-event cleanup
Support Facilities personnel and conduct daily litter pickup/trash removal
Report and address conditions needing attention
Perform other duties as assigned to support Maintenance operations

Qualifications:

Knowledge of landscaping equipment operation and basic building/grounds maintenance preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work positively with faculty staff students and visitors
Flexibility to work weekdays weekends evenings and during special events
Ability to work collaboratively as a part of a diverse team

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Outdoor work year-round in all weather conditions (heat cold rain snow)
Exposure to dust dirt pollen and noise from equipment
Frequent standing walking bending stooping kneeling and lifting up to 50 lbs
Ability to climb ladders work on uneven surfaces and perform tasks at varying heights
