Join ChildServe as a Day Habilitation Specialist M-F daytime hours up to $18/hour! The Day HabilitationSpecialistsupports the skill development and retention for young adults. This team member will provide or assist with care needs and supervision in a group setting.

Schedule/Where Youll Be

• Up to $18/hour
• Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Full-time benefits eligible role
• Johnston IA

How Youll Make an Impact

• Provide direct care and assist assigned individuals with accessing the community and increasing independence with communication socialization and daily living skills
• Implement individuals care plans and provide ongoing feedback regarding additional or changing care plan needs to childs supervisor or Day Hab Supervisor
• to become certified for medication administration seizures and g-tube feedings as well as other specialized trainings as identified
• Assure timely and accurate documentation

What Youll Need:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must pass criminal and child abuse background checks
• Must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver. This includes passing a motor vehicle record check and car safety check and able to provide a valid drivers license and insurance
• Must be willing to obtain your chauffeurs license to drive ChildServe vehicles.
• Good oral and written communication skills and can accurately document all observations significant events and services provided.
• Education: High school diploma preferred
• Experience: Experience working with or knowledge of children with special health care needs preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading writing and speaking the English language
