The Opportunity

Stanley College is seeking a proactive and hands-on Facilities Officer (Maintenance) to help ensure our campuses remain safe functional and welcoming for students staff and visitors. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the Colleges facilities equipment and grounds to the highest standards of safety and presentation.

Working across multiple campuses the Facilities Officer will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance minor repairs and supporting the coordination of contractors and service providers. Youll take pride in your work respond quickly to maintenance requests and help create a positive well-maintained environment that supports learning and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general maintenance repairs and minor works including painting plumbing and furniture assembly.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist in developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Liaise with internal departments external contractors and suppliers to coordinate maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records logs and safety documentation.
  • Support waste management and upkeep of outdoor and communal spaces.
  • Promote a safe work environment and comply with all Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards.

About You

  • Proven experience in maintenance facilities or building services within a commercial or institutional setting.
  • Hands-on skills across general repairs cleaning and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean functional environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid WA drivers licence and willingness to travel across multiple campuses.
  • A technical trade qualification is desirable but not essential.
