Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for Morgan Stanley supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of Morgan Stanleys software development lifecycle enabling productive coding functional and integration testing application releases and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3000 production applications. ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop mobile voice video productivity intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable secure and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter network compute cloud storage and database functions.

Enterprise Computing (EC)

Enterprise Computingis a department ofCore Infrastructurethat provides a collection of products and services that make up the Morgan Stanley core compute infrastructure hosting platforms and supporting application services. Solutions are delivered across the infrastructure stack from foundational hardware platforms storage server operating systems and virtualization up through the hosting of common web database middleware and reporting services.

This is Vice President position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What youll do in the role:

• Lead Level 3 support role with global responsibility for the applications related to Data Distribution Domain.

• Day to day handling of change incidents escalations and problem management.

• This includes application server administration.

• Technical troubleshooting of infrastructure and user incidents. Server and application deployments and task automation

What youll bring to the role:

• Minimum 10 years experience working in an operations support role.

• Strong knowledge of HTTP FTP/SFTP SQL Databases and general data transfer technologies.

• Should also be comfortable with system administration of Unix/Linux and Windows infrastructure/Application.

• Scripting of operational administration tasks in Java PowerShell and/or Python (preferred) Perl Shell Scripting or other.

• Experience in troubleshooting complex issues related to network databases storage security and operation systems.

• The individual should have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in high pressure situations for Incident and problem management.

• Flexible to be on-call work on a rotation basis.

• Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment

Desirable skills:
Previous experience working with File transfer services or related applications
