Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design construction and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at locations to include Vandenberg AFB CA F.E. Warren AFB WY Malmstrom AFB MT and Minot AFB ND. Sentinel is a vital US Air Force program that will recapitalize the nations aging ground based leg of the nuclear triad -- the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This is an on-site position that offers a 9X80 work schedule (i.e. every other Friday off) paid overtime and a great work/life balance. For candidates not local to the Ogden area a relocation allowance can be provided.

Key Duties:
- Lead and support the preparation of electrical design deliverables including 3D models 2D drawings material specifications and installation details in compliance with all applicable codes standards and regulations.
- Model electrical rooms equipment raceways lighting grounding and lightning protection systems using SmartPlant 3D SmartSketch AutoCAD and related tools.
- Create bills of materials perform electrical design calculations (e.g. lighting layouts with AGI 32 ground grid layouts with ETAP) and prepare procurement documentation using SpecsIntact.
- Coordinate design activities and resolve interface issues with other engineering disciplines systems engineering and clients to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
- Review and check design deliverables for quality accuracy and completeness; participate in constructability reviews and jobsite visits as required.
- Mentor and support less experienced designers providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to Bechtel and industry design practices.
RequirementsRequired Skills Experience and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to obtain an Active Secret clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid unexpired Real ID-compliant drivers license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. - Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- Knowledge and application of NEC code and NEMA/ANSI/IEEE standards.
- Experience with an electronic Cable Management System (e.g. SETROUTE) including the ability to input data and perform database corrections.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other disciplines and manage competing deadlines frequent interruptions and multiple tasks.
- Relevant experience in preparing electrical system and equipment drawings for nuclear or industrial process facilities data centers central utility plants or complex building electrical systems.
- Proficient with a 3D CAD tool for electrical design.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in engineering and office automation tools.
- Broad knowledge of electrical engineering design principles electrical systems schematics and layouts.
- Familiarity with Bechtel corporate guides and standards as well as thorough knowledge of engineering deliverables such as drawings and specifications.
- Ability to resolve design issues both independently and in collaboration with engineering disciplines construction teams and clients.
- Experience modeling piping HVAC and mechanical equipment in a SmartPlant 3D environment.
- Previous project experience with DoD DoE USACE NAVFAC USAF or NASA.
- Experience working with procedures that meet quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000.
- Associate degree or certification and 6 or more years of experience.
Desired Skills Experience and Education:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience with SmartPlant 3D.
- Experience working with government agencies preferably the DoD.
